 film events

Regularly, we organize events around a specific film, where after the screening we introduce you to that specific world culture though the food, music, and art and connect you the local cultural communities and the projects that benefit them and the cultural communities around the world.

film festivals

The most likely place where you can see a movie about another culture is a film festival.
Each film festival has a wide selection of entries of films coming from all corners of the earth.
A film festival is not only a great place to see a foreign film, but it is also a great opportunity to meet filmmakers from around the world and a perfect way to discuss their work and exchange ideas in an informal way.

The Global Insight Summit 2008

The Global Insight Summit is a groundbreaking effort by the United Nations and the Jackson Hole Film Institute to work with the entertainment community to highlight critical international concerns. Actors, writers, producers and directors from film and television will join the Secretary-General and other senior UN officials to discuss important global issues and the role of film and television media in raising public awareness of these problems and of the UN’s role in addressing them.

Complementing the Global Insight Summit is The Festival's Global Insight film program. Through a juried selection process, the Global Insight Film Award will honor the film that best serves as a catalyst for raising public awareness and engagement in an important global issue.  The Global Insight program's purpose is to build awareness and support for films documenting humanitarian issues and provide filmmakers an opportunity to meet people passionate about their causes.
